SECONDARY NEWS
       Secondary has got off a brilliant start this year, with the students working hard and striving to improve their levels in all subject areas. This is being helped with the installation this week of interactive white boards into all of the secondary classrooms. These coupled with the wi fi connection we now have available in the secondary block will ensure that students and teachers can access and use all of the latest educational technology available.
       The music department has also continued to develop and expand, with the arrival this week of a full drum kit. We look forward to the drum and our budding drummers appearing in future school productions.
       
       NOTICIAS DE SECUNDARIA
       El departamento de secundaria ha tenido un brillante comienzo este año. Los alumnos están trabajando duro para subir sus niveles en todas las asignaturas. A esto hay que sumar la reciente instalación de pizarras interactivas en todas las aulas del edificio de secundaria y la conexión wi-fi. A partir de ahora tanto alumnos como profesores tendrán acceso y podrán utilizar las últimas y más modernas tecnologías educacionales disponibles.
       El departamento de música también continúa creciendo y desarrollándose con la llegada esta semana de una batería acústica completa. Esperamos ver pronto en el escenario de nuestro auditorio a los baterías que tenemos en secundaria.

In Class 3B we work very hard day to day. The children wanted to share, with you, some of the wonderful things they do in class. Here is a selection of photographs showing you examples of us hard at work. We hope you enjoy them. They include making a class display for ‘Our Local Area’ through painting and drawing; preparing a class science experiment, planting beans in clear plastic pots to watch them grow their roots and shoots and photographs of us writing, which we think we are very good at!
       
       En la clase 3B trabajamos muy duro a diario. Queríamos compartir con vosotros algunas de las cosas maravillosas que hacemos en clase. Aquí os dejamos una selección de fotos con ejemplos de nuestro duro trabajo. Esperamos que os gusten. Incluyen la realización de un mural de “Our local area” hecho con pinturas y dibujos; la preparación de un experimento de ciencias; cómo plantamos semillas en maceteros de plástico para ver como crecen sus raíces y también algunas fotografías de nosotros escribiendo, ¡porque creemos que somos muy buenos haciéndolo!

Cambridge Young Learners Examinations
       
       Once again a record number of students opted to sit the Cambridge Young Learners Examinations in English this year and the results were fantastic.
       All the students passed either starters, movers or flyers and many were awarded 15 out of 15.
       Well done everyone.
       
       
       Exámenes de Cambridge Young Learners
       
       Este año, una vez más, un número récord de alumnos optó por realizar los exámenes de Cambridge Young Learners de Inglés y los resultados han sido fantásticos.
       Todos los alumnos aprobaron uno de estos niveles; starters, movers o flyers y muchos obtuvieron una puntuación de 15 sobre 15.
       Enhorabuena a todos.

Llevan tan sólo tres semanas en primero de primaria y poco a poco se están adaptando a esta nueva etapa. Les encanta trabajar con las pizarras digitales y compartir juegos con el resto de compañeros.
